I have spent my life being bike and trike mad. I always said I would have a trike when I turned 40 as my children would be growing up and I would regain some independence.....however a few years ago I was struck down with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue syndrome after a bout of bad bad flu and I have never recovered. It has left me weak and I cannot even manage my kids little 50cc Puch, lol.
I am now stuck in a powered wheelchair or "my trike" on my profile pic which is my rascal mobility scooter which I actually got aged 38. I think I must've done something bad in my life that I'm unaware of! My top speed is 8mph

I have to have a joke about it and put flames on the arches and a replica Harley sticker on the front which wasn't there when that pic was taken. If I didn't jest about my trike, I'd go nuts!
I come from a long line of family members with bikes in their blood. My Great Grandfather owned Cadwell Park and turned it into a track for my Grandad and his brothers to mess about on with their own bikes, and for shooting pheasants etc...and general messing about. Who knew then how popular it would become with riders?
I love bikes, always have- sports and sports tourers but there is something different about a trike and they always turn my head wherever I am. Years n years ago I was in Yarmouth and all I could see was a Market place full of chrome. I came home and most of my holiday pics were the trikes, lol. It was in the days of 35mm so my boyfriend at the time was livid when he got all my films developed!
I thank you for allowing me to join. I am already enjoying your photographs and would have felt rude by simply looking through without joining and introducing myself.
I hope to meet you all someday if I can manage one of your events. The problem is I have to sleep on the way so I am perky when I get anywhere rather than a zombie.
Thanks again, as u can tell, I am as mad as a box of frogs and never stop talking, even in text.
Cheers
Lyn
