Ok boys and girls
These are the directions to get you to the Black Rat Run at Marne Barracks on September 19.
IF you are riding up for the run ONLY then follow this (never mind the SatNav)
Camping directions follow after.

1/ Get onto the A1 Northbound.
2/ Continue and go past the Leeming Bar Junction.
3/ Ride through the road works (there are cameras and they DO TAKE photos) 50mph.
After road works end you have got about 7 miles to go.
4/ Look out for a sign saying KIRBY FLEETHAM. When you see it you need to get into left lane as you have less than 2 miles to go.
5/ You will see the next sign pointing to MARNE BARRACKS and Richmond. This is the one you want. (A 6136).
6/ Come off at slip road and turn right at junction.
7/ Go over bridge to next junction (50 yards) and turn right.
8/ MARNE BARRACKS entrance is on your left after 50 yards. Be prepared to stop as you will be inspected and if you are very lucky a full body and cavity search may be carried out.
Follow the directions to parking as the rifles they carry really do have very sharp pointy things shooting out of the front bit.

FOR YOU THAT ARE CAMPING YT Members only.
Follow the directions up to and including Number 6. After that follow these for camping only.
7/ Turn left at junction and continue through Catterick Village (Don’t Speed as boys in blue tend to hide and take snapshots ).
8/ Follow main road past race course and swing left and immediately right over the bridge .
9/ Take the first turn left after bridge. (signpost BROMPTON ON SWALE).
10/ Watch out for speed bumps under bridge as you enter village.
11/ At junction turn left into village main flow and you will see the CROWN PUB on your right.
12/ About 100yards further on your right you will see a sign saying BUNK BARN. This is where you camp.
13/ As you will see it is directly across the road from a shop but more importantly it’s only a 100 yards from a pub. Pub will be serving food up to 8pm.

If you want food at pub let me know ASAP and I will try to get an area roped off for us.
Anyone towing a trailer can leave it at the camp site and pick it up after the run.
We have also got the use of toilets and showers .
The cost is £4 per head and not £8 as it says on their sign board.

Do not forget to bring a copy of your Black Rat registration form as this will allow you onto camp and also lets them know what merchandise you ordered on line.
