I've got a couple of projects available.

Reliant custom frame
Needs:
Engine, gearbox, radiator, forks, front wheel.
Needs friendly MoT station or SVA.
£500

Venture trike:
Semi-hardtail, needs re-assembling, footpegs sorting, 2nd gear fix (comes with a set of vmax gearbox internals), plastics repairing, plus numerous other smallish jobs.
£1000

Friendly as in don't mind bending the rules a bit
Take it in and swear that it has been like that since before 2000 and they test it without checking further
Or if it fails on a minor point or two, they pass it anyway if you agree to fix the problem as soon as possible

As far as pics go, I'll see about a couple of the reliant in the next week or so.
Not really feasible for the venture, it's in the back of the dark garage and I only have the camera on my phone without flash

Or come over and have a look the next time you're near York.

I'd say the reliant would be the better option since the frame is complete and just needs bits bolted on. Get a donor reliant and swap bits over.

wouldnt mind if id done a few and more so clued up on all these dvla tests.
also well getting to york at present is a problem,id hopefully be wanting to send a man with cash to collect,or someone that poss deliver for cash.
