I myself after 1 week of having this sytem pictured here to the right have found a neighbour bringing home his Arriva bus down our culde sac at 3:15am and some guy snooping around the back garden in the early hours, also 8 young lads coming to beat up our son all captured on this sytem.
This particular system can be connected up to your wireless internet and viewed from your laptop or home pc, you can even configure it so that you can log in from anywhere in the world with a net connection using internet explorer to view your cams live.
Even use most new internet enabled phones such as iPhones or android based phones.
All recordings are held onto the DVR system with an option the highlight any recordings to alert you when there has been movement so you don't have to watch everything, leaving you just to choose the recordings with movement, you can even set the motion detector to ignore particular items in your garden like trees etc.
These cams are waterproof and equipped with infra red giving you a clear black and white picture on dark nights.
